Dr. J. J. TURNER, Chancellor and Instructor has been preaching for close to a half century. His full-time work has taken him to Florida, Louisiana, California, Colorado and of course his home state of Georgia. His lectureships, workshops, and seminars have taken him all over the world. He has served in administration with four Christian Colleges and is past editor of Christian Family Magazine and Christian Bible Teacher. J. J. has conducted seminars and workshops on every subject that is needed in the church today, and continues to do so with a trip to Italy next month to co-teach a Leadership Workshop. He is one of the most powerful speakers in the Lord’s Church. He has authored over seventy books, hundreds of articles, and thousands of lessons preached all over the United States and many foreign countries. J.J. has touched the lives of many people, not only with the gospel, but with his encouragement and leadership. By seeing potential in me, when I was a young farmer in Arkansas, he opened up a whole new world for me of planting seeds of the gospel instead of seeds of rice and soybeans. He encouraged me to attend school to become a preacher, to give my life to preaching, and made it possible for me to fulfill my lifelong dream of teaching at a school that trains preachers. How many other lives has he touched in this way? J. J., and his sweet wife Isabelle live in McDonough, Georgia where he serves as pulpit preacher as well as one of the elders of that vibrant congregation. They have two children and four grandchildren.
